Karen Shadbolt, singer, songwriter and musician, lives in Conroe, TX with her husband of 30 years, John. They have three daughters and three grand children. Karen has been in music ministry for over twenty years as a solo artist, worship leader, choir director of both children and adult choirs, and pianist. She is currently on staff at Living Way UMC in Conroe as a vocalist and keyboard player on their praise team. Karen sings and writes music that communicates the message of hope that can be found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her singing and writing style can be described as a mix of contemporary, inspirational, acoustic folk and little bit o' country.She says, "I love it all . . ." Karen has studied music with some of the best Christian writers and artists, having completed studies at the Babbie Mason Songwriting Conference in Atlanta (1991), the Steve Hurst School of Music Ministry and Performance in Nashville (2001), the Stamps-Baxter School of Music, also in Nashville (2004), and most recently was a roster artist with Incubator Records (2004-2007). |
