Back to the Well

Every week for over a decade, the praise band at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Louisville, Colorado, which is comprised of members of the congregation, has led contemporary worship.  "Back to the Well" began in late 2007 when lead-guitarist Jim Seely, whose bluesy guitar riffs and solos have long colored the band's sound, sat down with "a few Spirit-inspired words, an acoustic guitar, and a spiral notebook," and wrote most of the songs that appear on the album.  Many of these originals, along with some soulful favorites from the band's repertoire, were premiered on Transfiguration Sunday in February of 2008 as a full, Blues-styled worship service.
